Sylvie
German and French as a foreign language tutor
Holder of the French agrégation in German and a doctorate from an Austrian university. Fifteen years teaching in French secondary schools, online since 2020.
Sylvie holds the agrégation in German — the most demanding competitive examination in French secondary teaching — following a CAPES and a doctorate prepared at the University of Salzburg. She has some fifteen years of teaching at lower and upper secondary level, alongside university teaching at Sciences Po Grenoble and Université Savoie-Mont-Blanc.
Her command of German does not come from examinations alone: she has lived and taught in the German-speaking world, in Germany and Austria, and taught German in a corporate setting, including within the Mercedes-Benz group in Stuttgart. In her lessons, German becomes a language to understand and use again, rather than a list of declensions to recite.
She has taught online since 2020, mostly to Swiss students since September 2025, and spent three years at the CNED supporting candidates preparing France's competitive teaching examinations — demanding distance work, with precise follow-up between sessions. She also teaches French as a foreign language, which she practised with adults and students in Germany and Austria.
